The Brookline Ballet School

The Brookline Ballet School opened January 11, 2010 to serve the greater Boston Area. Our goal is to provide an unparalleled level of training to our students. We offer the finest international faculty available with a broad base of professional experience. The faculty is dedicated to teaching our students the purest classical ballet technique, as a foundation from which mastery of all dance forms grows. We encourage our students to PURSUE THEIR GOALS in a nurturing environment, fostering a lifelong LOVE FOR DANCE through dedication and hard work.

From our focus on the study of classical ballet, we offer classes in a RANGE OF DANCE and FITNESS FORMS, both to complement the development and enjoyment of our young dancers, but also to provide dance and fitness enthusiasts of all ages, abilities and inclinations a venue to enjoy their art.

The school is housed in a newly completed facility with two spacious studios and full comfortable amenities, conveniently located in Brookline's Coolidge Corner area. The studios are also available for rental for classes, rehearsal or small shows and other purposes.

Our Youth Ballet Program is designed for enrolled students age 4 and up. Girls and boys are given age-appropriate instruction based on the traditions of the French school of classical ballet, including the proper use of French terminology.

A strong emphasis is placed on the student’s experience of ballet as a complete art form. Ballet is a performing art, so students from the Elementary, Intermediate, and Advanced levels will have the opportunity to perform in front of audiences, which will help to develop their confidence and artistry. Our Adult Ballet classes are offered on an open drop-in basis for dancers of all abilities, women and men, aged at least 14 years. Daily classes will be taught by some of Boston’s most renowned instructors. Whether you studied ballet in your youth and would like to dance again, or you are a professional dancer wanting extra dance time and world-class coaching, these classes offer the opportunity to pursue your passion through the continued study of dance.

If you are an adult who has never studied ballet but always wanted to, or if you would like an artistic alternative to going to the gym but have no ballet experience, our Adult Beginner classes are designed specifically for you. Finally, Trinidad’s Ballet Workout is designed to build strong, lean muscles by combining the graceful flexibility and dance training of ballet with simple barre exercises and energetic movements from other exercise forms. To save time before your first class, please print and complete this Adult Dance & Fitness Registration Form and send it to TBBS by mail or email, or bring it to with you to your first class.
