Ballet is a magnificent representation of art. In fact, Ballet is a cultural spectacle with stilized bodies that perform elegant and delicate movements such as pirouettes, jumps, turnouts and other difficult movements that require an excellent flexibility and elasticity.

In order to perform all these movements on the stage, professional dancers need to wear a special costume because Ballet, as an art expression and discipline, demands simplicity and comfort.

In fact, the clothes must let dancers to do long and difficult stretching exercises and hard movements. A lot of people don't understand why the clothing is so tight. But, this feature is pretty important in ballet because teachers have to measure the correct alignment of the bodies while dancers are performing some movements.

Basically, ballet clothes consist of the leotard, and the ballet shoes that are commonly called as slippers. Never use the dance shoes on the street or in any other place than the dance studio. In most of the cases, ballet shoes are quite expensive and they need an adequate care to prolong the life and use of them.
